MCP setup

Edison exposes a Model Context Protocol server at https://app.tryedison.com/api/mcp. Use your shop REST key (ed_live_ / ed_test_) or the ed_me_ agent token from Settings → API / Agent.

Call the whoami tool first. Every tool is scoped to this shop only — no admin or cross-tenant access.

Claude Desktop

Edit claude_desktop_config.json with the same mcpServers.edison block. Restart Claude after saving.

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT connector / developer settings, add a custom MCP server with URL https://app.tryedison.com/api/mcp and Bearer authorization using your Edison token.

Write tools may require write mode on your key and honor preview / confirm flows in the product. For HTTP health checks, GET https://app.tryedison.com/api/mcp returns server metadata.
